Alexandra Gingrass
Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant And Certified Portpartum Doula
Hi, I'm Alexandra
If you are worn out, falling asleep anytime there's a quiet moment, or pulling your hair out from frustration... then I'm so glad you found me. My name is Alexandra and I love working with children and enjoy teaching others, especially if it helps make life a little easier for them. I was originally going to college to become an elementary school teacher when I was offered an opportunity to move to the South Pacific.
After living on the island of American Samoa for a bit, I moved to Hawaii where I nannied for a newborn that NEVER slept. I had previously nannied for a family who had used a sleep consultant, and I was amazed at everything that was accomplished with a good routine, watching for sleepy cues, and good sleep hygiene. After doing some research, I was able to help my Hawaii nanny baby sleep through the night AND take scheduled naps! Both myself and the parents were thrilled. I moved back to Texas and began to nanny/babysit for new families.
It was then that I realized what a good routine could do for not only parents, but also the care givers. I would find myself babysitting for families and not wanting to return to those that had children that were difficult to put to sleep. After much thought and consideration, I began looking into sleep certification programs so I could help other families and nannies have happy, sleeping children. Not only do the parents and children benefit from great sleep, but also all the friends, babysitters and grandparents who watch these children.
After doing my research, I found Family Sleep Institute and instantly knew I wanted to be a part of their program! I loved their approach, how they did not believe in following a clock but rather sleepy cues. I also liked how they continue to be by your side even after graduation. I was accepted into the program and became a Certified Sleep Coach in July 2020. I have a large range of childhood development course work including, SIDS and SUIDS, sleep issues in children with special needs, childcare, bedtime battles, potty training, parent coaching, as well as working with the entire family to achieve healthy sleep. I am so excited to officially be helping as many families as I can.
While working with my nanny families, I realized there was a great need for postpartum infant care. So many families could benefit from an extra set of hands around the house or watchful eyes on baby at night so they can get a full nights rest. I wanted to offer my services to these new families so they could be the best versions of themselves while entering this new chapter of their lives. I knew with my pediatric sleep background I would be able to offer a helping hand that not only helps today, but down the road with a baby that sleeps soundly. With all my newborn families I offer the advice to help baby get on a good routine and have great sleep hygiene from the beginning. Making life a little smoother for everyone.
When I am not helping families with their newborns, or working with sleep families, I enjoy traveling to new places, performing in musicals, cooking, and taking my sweet Irish Doodle to the park. I continuously pursue ongoing education so that I can give your family the most up to date information about infant and toddler sleep. I am thrilled to welcome you to Little Red's Baby, and I cannot wait to help your entire family get the sleep they all deserve.
What Our Clients Are Saying

This service was fantastic. We were going through a really hard time with our two year old, when we transitioned her to a big girl bed. She fought nap time, delayed bedtime till 11 PM and was waking at 4 AM every morning. Little Red’s helped us create a plan that re-established a sleep routine and bedtime in a week. Through the process we were encouraged and supported to be consistent with our daughter. I really appreciated Ms. Gingrass being available for texts whenever we needed it.

We used Little Red’s to help our 4 month-old establish more independence with sleep and reduce contact naps. Alex was great to work with and took our baby's needs into consideration with her sleep plan. She made herself available to answer any questions we had along the way and provided support and encouragement when needed. We will definitely go back to her for further sleep needs if they arise!

Alex was so helpful! She first met with us to discuss our sleep needs and then wrote a plan specifically to meet both our baby and my needs. She offered us continuous feedback as we implemented the plan, so if we needed we could make small changes as we went. On top of that, Alex was extremely bubbly and supportive, and gave us hope that we would be getting better sleep in no time. Working with Alex was such a positive experience, and we would highly recommend her to anyone who needs sleep help!!
